You are going to love these quick and easy 5 ingredient grilled hot chicken sausages! They’re perfect for those super busy weeknights and the whole family will love the unique twist in this grilled dish-that’s ready and on the table in less than 30 minutes.
Have you ever heard-or enjoyed- a dish called “Nashville hot chicken”? It’s basically fried chicken smothered in hot sauce, served on a piece of bread with pickles. It’s hot and spicy, has a great crunch factor from the pickles, and is delicious. But, during the week, who has time to make an elaborate dish like that? And unless you live in Nashville, well, chances are you don’t have easy access to such a delicious creation.I could not get the thought of this dish out of my mind recently, so I decided to make a quick and easy grilled “Nashville hot chicken” inspired dish at home, and I don’t know how else to put it: I like the quicker, healthier version I created BETTER!!!!!
It’s super easy to make at home (yay for busy weeknights) and only has five ingredients (yay for Five-Ingredient Fridays!)
The key to this dish is the chicken: al fresco all natural chicken sausages! I am absolutely in love with al fresco all natural chicken products, especially their line of precooked chicken sausages, they’re the alternative for raw chicken or sausages, are healthier (than other beef or pork sausages) and save so much time in the kitchen when preparing meals! They make a range of all-natural chicken products ranging from dinner and breakfast sausages to meatballs, chicken burgers and chicken bacon.
While I’ve always been all about quick and easy meals, lately it’s been more imperative that I have easy meal ideas ready to go. I’m 38 weeks preggo (I have 2 weeks left – eeek, so exciting) and by the time I get home from work, I’m all but dead on my feet. Then we’re in the process of unpacking our new house and trying to get everything ready for the baby, it’s a lot. Highlights from last weekend: we locked ourselves out of our new house while we were in our pjs after installing the car seat and having the garage door lock behind us, and then in the middle of the night over the last week, we’ve been woken up (almost every other night) by the smoke detectors chirping because they’re low on batteries, and since it’s a new house we don’t know where they all are, and the ceilings are higher, so Nick (my hubby) is rearranging furniture to crawl up on to try and make the noise stop lol. Hopefully this weekend will be less eventful and I can take some photos to share with you guys of a home tour! Needless to say, I’m all about meals that are delicious and won’t take too much time to make!
For these 5 ingredient grilled hot chicken sausages all you do is fire up the grill, let the chicken sausages marinate in hot sauce while the grill heats up, then grill the chicken sausages and assemble the sausage toppings which are buns, mayo, pickles and a little extra hot sauce. The end result is a delicious healthy dinner that is ready in under 30 minutes and oooooooohhhh so delicious!

Chicken sausages rule! And for some strange reason we never had them in a bun, like classic hot dogs before:):):) Pickles and mayo sounds awesome, plus hot sauce for Panos (I can’t have it due to my stomach issues). He’s raving about your recipe at the moment:):):)
Sending you lots of hugs, hang in there girl! The waiting is almost over;)
