  • Quick & easy  – Only four ingredients and one bowl. No baking, no fuss.

  • Sweet & salty combo – Pretzels and peanuts balance the sugary candy corn and white chocolate perfectly.

Tips for Success

  • Mix gently – Pretzels can break if stirred too aggressively. Use a large spoon and fold everything together.

  • Use fresh candy corn – Candy corn can get stale quickly, so grab a fresh bag for the best texture.

  • Double or triple it – This recipe scales beautifully for larger gatherings

Customizations

  • Add chocolate candies – Toss in festive M&Ms or Reese’s Pieces for extra pops of color.

  • Swap the nuts – Use almonds, cashews, or leave them out entirely if serving to someone with allergies.

  • Drizzle chocolate – Melt a little white or milk chocolate and drizzle it over the top before letting it set for an extra treat.

  • Make it spooky – Add candy eyes, gummy worms, or Halloween sprinkles for a fun kids’ version.

  • Lunchbox treat – A small scoop makes a festive surprise in your kids’ lunchboxes.

I like to make a mixture of Trader Joes Spicy or Sweet Pecans, some almonds and walnuts or pistachios – any of their nuts are great then add some dried fruit – love their dried Tart Cherries – Kinda like a trail mix – Anything goes. Thanks for the giveaway.

While making my mom’s Chex mix has become an annual tradition, I made your Bananas Foster Chex Mix for the first time last year and it quickly became a favorite that friends are already asking me to make again for this holiday season!

    Halloween puppy chow:
Mix half of the chocolate coated cereal in powdered sugar and the other half in brownie mix. Then add in pretzels, autumn mix , mini oreos and Reese’s pieces.

That’s a pretty mix to hand out in portioned zip bags for Halloween! My favorite snack while watching a movie or tv series is air popped popcorn with mochi crunch (arare, Japanese rice cracker), seasoned pretzel sticks and plain M&Ms.

We loved this snack and bc of nut allergies we added Bugles as the salty part and I didn’t have white chocolate chips so added in caramel bites. The kids thought it was yummy and festive plus they loved mixing in all the ingredients. The little pretzels are great in this mixture!

What a pretty snack mix! I found dairy-free candy corn online, so I can make this for a family party. (My store carries Brachs, which has dextrose and other ingredients that are not always dairy-free.) I also like Asian Snack mixes – especially the spicy ones.
