How to Make a Heart Shaped Cake
Making this cake is so much fun, especially if you have kids in the house. In this post, I'll show you how to make a heart shaped cake, using only one circle and one square cake pan.

- 1 Box or homemade cake
- 1 1/2 cups Store bought or homemade frosting
Instructions
- Spray square and circle cake pans with cooking spray.
- Line round cake pan with parchment paper. I do this by setting the cake pan on a piece of parchment paper and tracing it with a pen, then cutting out the circle.
- Spray parchment paper with cooking spray.
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Make cake batter (you could use this chocolate cake or this maple syrup cake.
- Divide batter evenly between square and round baking dishes.
- Bake until done.
- While cake is baking, make the frosting.
- Remove cakes from oven and allow to cool completely on a wire cooling rack.
- Cut the circle down the middle.
- Put the square cake on a plate, diagonally, and then add the 1/2 circles to form the heart.
- Frost the cake and enjoy.
