White wine garlic chili shrimp {15 minute dinner}

When you’re running short on time and are in need of a flavorful dinner, this white wine garlic chili shrimp is the perfect 15 minute dinner!

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 red habanero pepper finely chopped (or you could use 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes)
  • 1 red bell pepper finely sliced
  • 1 lb raw shrimp peeled and deveined, tail on
  • 1 cup white wine you could use broth instead of wine
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped, plus more for topping
  • 1 baguette or sliced ciabatta bread for serving with the shrimp

Instructions

  • In a large pot or skillet with a lip, melt the butter and add in minced garlic, salt, habanero (or red chili flakes) and red bell pepper slices and cook for 3 minutes, or until the bell peppers have softened.
  • Next add in the shrimp and cook for 10 minutes, until the shrimp has cooked through.
  • Add white wine and cook until wine has reduced a little (2 minutes) then add in the cilantro and stir, and top with more cilantro and serve.
  • While the shrimp is cooking cut and/or toast the bread.
  • To serve, ladle shrimp and the delicious liquid into a bowl and serve with bread.
