When you’re running short on time and are in need of a flavorful dinner, this white wine garlic chili shrimp is the perfect 15 minute dinner!
My husband and I went to Kohler and, while we were there, we watched this cooking demonstration and got to sample the food being made. My favorite bite was this shrimp in this white wine garlic butter sauce sauce which was served with a side of toast. It was so easy sounding, and the chef put it together in 10 minutes.
Here is a picture of the dish we sampled while on vacation:
Shrimp in a garlicy buttery white wine sauce with a little heat from seasonings and complimented by fresh cilantro … YUM!
So, when I’m short on time, I turn to this recipe for white wine garlic chili shrimp. In 15 minutes, I have dinner on the table! Shrimp is such a great option because it can be cooked so quickly.
I used a habanero pepper for this, and while some might balk at the thought of a pepper so spicy, it really wasn’t a super hot and spicy dish, it had a nice medium heat to it. If you want, you could either use a pinch of dried red pepper flakes, or jalapeño, or omit spice all together.
This shrimp dish is best served with wedges of bread. I love dredging bread through the sauce, it’s so so good (clearly I like the whole bread with sauce thing – did you see this chicken curry with ginger and garlic? For that recipe I used naan to sop up the sauce with and it was so good.) I used ciabatta bread cut into triangles to serve with this dish. Both the shrimp and the bread were in my freezer, so it was awesome to make dinner in 15 minutes with things I had on hand. Next time you’re needing a super easy quick dinner, make this white wine garlic chili shrimp!

This was so easy and super flavorful. I fished it over linguine that I had mixed with a little lemon zest and red pepper flakes. It was so good, easy, tasty and we devoured it! Thank you Phi for such an amazing recipe that will make it into our rotation.

Do you thaw the shrimp first or cook from frozen?
Sweetphi says
Hi Karen, I typically thaw the shrimp first (granted, some are probably still a little frozen) 🙂

We have just started to eat fish again, so we are enjoying lots of shrimp and this looks like a great way to enjoy them. The more garlic the better I say!
