In this weeks Love List I’m sharing my travel essentials. I recently took a quick trip to North Carolina to visit my best friend—with my daughter in tow—and let me tell you, traveling with a kid makes you extra aware of what’s actually essential (here’s a pervious Love List of travel with kids essentials). Between sticky soda spills (thanks for putting an open bottle of Fanta in my bag, Frankie), and trying to keep everything somewhat organized, I came away with a list of travel MVPs I’ll never go without again. From a smooth-gliding 4-wheel suitcase to a portable charger that saved the day more than once, here are the must-haves that made our trip easier, cleaner, and way less chaotic.
- A 4 wheel suitcase – I like the hard shell ones. Super easy to roll these through the airport!
- Packing cubes – these keep suitcases so organized. I have one color for me and one color for Frankie.
- This canvas tote has a zipper at the top. It’s big and has a part that goes over the handles of the roller bag handles, and I got mine on sale for $39
- Wet Ones – I always have these or wipes with me! They help for dirty hands (always with kids lol) and cleaning up spills – Frankie spilled soda in my tote and Wet Ones cleaned it quickly.
- Lip oil stick – this stuff is expensive $45 but it’s sooo worth it. For when you’re traveling it moisturizes your lips and they don’t peel and it keeps them soft.
- Portable backup charger – this thing, omg, I cannot sing its praises enough! It charged my iphone multiple times when it was low.
- A good book or audiobooks (suggestions here) and plug in headphones!
