This week’s Love List has a very big, very exciting update: my bestie and I started a podcast!! We did the thing, and it’s officially out in the world! I also have a performance you need to watch and, fine, a little Prime Day shopping to share, lol.
- We started a podcast!! My bestie Lynn and I love reading and talking about books, so we decided to turn those conversations into Philynnit – A Book Besties Podcast (Substack here)! Two moms. Seven kids. Very different bookshelves. Expect honest book opinions, lots of laughing, and probably a few tangents, because it’s us, lol. It feels a little wild to say that our first episode is actually LIVE! If you love books or just want to hang out with us for a bit, listen to episode one here (this is for Spotify but it’s on other platforms you listen to podcasts). I’m so excited to share this with you!
- Fine, a little Prime Day shopping, lol. I’m not really into Prime Days, but there are some good deals, so here’s my Amazon storefront if you feel like browsing! My approach is to check the things I already use and love, or something I’ve been meaning to buy. A deal on something you actually wanted? Love that. A few faves:
- Sensory toy – I throw this thing in my purse, it’s perfect for a screen free restaurant activity, and omg ALL the kids love it!
- This little magnetic game is SO GOOD – fun for literally the whole family. Another thing I throw in my purse! And they have different themed ones, we have 2.
- I’m obsessed with these pre cut parchment paper sheets, they last forever and this will be the second time I’m buying them (literally they’ve lasted almost a year and I use them all the time!)
- These zip bags – we use them for organizing things, and we give gifts in them, a gift for the mom as well lol!
- GAH- this heat protectant works so well and smells so good, I’m definitely buying one on sale.
- I use these literally twice a day, so cool, I’ll buy them on sale.
- I also use these twice a day, another yay it’s on sale moment
- This performance…holy cow. Did you see GENER8ION featuring Yung Lean perform “STORM” at the VMAs? I came across it and am in love. I of course made Nick watch it and he said, “I thought I was going to be underwhelmed,” and then he loved it too! One of those things you watch and immediately want to send to someone so you can talk about it. Please watch and tell me what you think!
