Every Wednesday I share the Love List – my favorite finds, recipes, reads, and little joys from around the web. In this weeks Love List – Mom’s Summer Survival – everything you need to survive summer from the best bag, quick dry towels, craft kits and a good book.
- Waterproof pool/beach bag – this one is cute, so many patterns, and affordable ($24)! Love the pockets on it! Sorry, but I don’t like the plastic ones because their shape isn’t conducive to carrying, and there’s no pockets! I’ll take this over them any day!
- Quick dry towels – these may be a little pricier, but we use them SO MUCH and they dry so fast, and they’re so much thinner than normal towels, they actually fit in a bag!
- Mini travel fan
- This rubber band kit and this bead kit keep my kids occupied for so long, the kids loooove the bead kit especially and make things like lizards and snakes and stars, so cool!
- Gotta keep hydrated, these electrolyte packets are the only ones I like
- Soap to get sunscreen/sand off (and temporary tattoos)
- Waterproof Uno for poolside/beachside games!
- Snack container – this is really great for fruit
- Or a snack pouch, I’m obsessed and it keeps things nice and organized.
- I have this small first aid kit for my bag and this slightly bigger one in the trunks of our cars!
- Wet ones – you would not believe the sticky hands after ice cream!
- We live on a wooded lot so we definitely need bug spray – this is a good deet free one
- The amount of stains is insane, this helps!
- They’re eco friendly guys!! These paper plates save my sanity in the summer when the kids are eating every 2.5 seconds. Also love this paper plate/utensil organizer
- We love this old school ice pops, I keep them on hand for the neighborhood kids!
- A few books for the summer: These Summer Storms, Summer In The City, Into The Blue, The Chestnut Springs collection – really anything by Elsie Silver! Broken Country, Listen for the Lie (great audiobook!)
