In this weeks Love List I’m sharing what’s in my pool bag! We’re lucky enough to have pool access thanks to Nick’s uncle, so when the weather’s nice and the schedule allows, we make the most of it. After a few too many chaotic pool outings (read: forgotten swim diapers, no snacks, and sunburns), I’ve finally figured out what to pack to make things smoother. Here’s a peek inside my pool bag—what comes with us every time to keep things as easy and enjoyable as possible.
- First lets talk about the bag(s) first. I have two I love. One really big one, waterproof, that’s made out of an old billboard. No two are the same! I have the XL carryall tote. It’s really big! It’s where I keep all our stuff and it has a zipper on top and great pockets inside!! The other bag I have is this mesh one from Target (it’s only $10) and I put our swimsuits in here and it’s great to transport wet swimsuits home! Reason I have two is that we’re still carting around life vests for 4 little kids!
- Towels! I just found these quick dry lightweight towels. Yes they’re a little pricey but so worth it so you’re not lugging big heavy towels around. And yes if you’re doing the math, we spent $200 on towels for our family of 6 lol.
- Sunscreen – a must with kids. This is the one I use. It’s high SPF and mineral based. It works so well!
- Snacks pouch – this keeps all the snacks in one place! No free floating snacks here.
- Mini first aid kit for the beach bag- you know someone’s always getting a cut and needs a bandaid! I also have this first aid kit in the trunk of both our cars!
- Water bottles – these are the ones we have for the kids, and these for adults
