It’s officially that time of year when I’m pulling out the ornament bins, fluffing the garland, and wondering how on earth we’ve already made it to December. This week’s Love List is all about Christmas decorations – the pieces I reach for year after year, where I love to shop for them (from ornaments to Pottery Barn stockings to my ride-or-die Crate & Barrel serving pieces), and the little tips that make holiday decorating feel joyful instead of chaotic. Consider this your friendly reminder to grab a bottle of super glue and keep it handy… because if your house is anything like mine, at least one (or 5) ornament has already taken a tumble.
- We got our stockings from Pottery Barn Kids (these), they’ve held up so well!
- Ok, Nordstrom’s has the cutest ornaments! Like this
- Also from Nordstrom How darling is this dish set/salad plates (Country Estate Winter Frolic The Claus’ Christmas Day Ruby Salad Plate)
- My father in law gets us Hallmark ornaments – they have series so you can get one per year in a series, or they have a million other beautiful ornaments. I mentioned this in our Christmas Traditions post
- The most beautiful glasses from Crate and Barrel also, the cutest tree server
- Ceramic Santa mugs!
- Pre lit garland for the stairwell, we needed a few. I’m eyeing this one up for the mantle.
- We were gifted a candle warmer lamp and it’s so nice, the family room smells lovely
- The best thing we ever did was invest in some ornament storage bins from The Container Store, makes taking out and putting ornaments away so much easier!
- New to me this year – have you heard of Kirkland’s Home? They have such beautiful stuff! I got this print (so affordable) and then these bells for under our lights by the garage, they look so festive!! They have a book lovers series and I want everything in it (like how cute is this ‘just one more chapter’ candle?)!!!
- I always buy a bottle of gorilla glue for the holidays and keep it in my junk drawer for easy access when ornaments break. It’s saved the day on many occasions.
