With only 5 ingredients, plus an optional dipping sauce, this recipe won’t add any stress to your day, in an already hectic time of year.

Ingredients for Christmas pull apart bread wreath

What ingredients do I need to make a pull apart wreath?

  • Grands biscuits
  • Italian cheese blend
  • Garlic cloves
  • Italian seasoning
  • Salted butter
  • Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)

Mixture in glass bowl

Parties where appetizers and small bites are the star are always the best.  But it’s always a worry if people will have enough to eat.  With this Christmas pull apart bread wreath, you can rest assured knowing people will have something hearty to fill their stomachs while also enjoying other delicious appetizers.  A few other great appetizer options are  this brie or these cheese carrot balls (trust us, they’re worth a try!)?

Pulling apart frozen biscuit for pull apart dough wreath

How do I make a Christmas pull apart  bread wreath?

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Melt butter until melted (not just softened)
  3. Combine garlic, Italian seasoning and butter. Reserve ⅓ of the butter to use later. Add 1 ½ cups cheese.
  4. Take biscuits out of packaging and split in half (peel biscuit layers apart). Place on cutting board.
  5. Spread butter/herb/cheese mixture onto biscuit dough.  Form into balls and arrange in a circle (or tree) shape around a ramekin or ball of foil.
  6. Spread remaining butter mixture the bread and sprinkle with cheese.
  7. Bake 30 minutes until cooked and golden brown

Adding flavor and cheese to biscuits

Are there any variations to this recipe?

Of course!  Here are a few things you can do differently and still get the same result:

  • Shape this “wreath” into a tree shape instead.  Still festive and just as easy.
  • Add pepperonis for an even heartier dish
  • You could use pizza dough, instead of Grands biscuits.
  • Tuck olives into parts of the wreath as an additional topping.  Plus, they could look like ornaments on a wreath!

Spreading garlic and herb on raw dough ball wreath

How do you keep the wreath shape?

  • Put a ramekin in the center of the wreath and form the dough balls around it.  Don’t forget to cover the ramekin with tin foil and spray with cooking spray so nothing sticks.

While you have festive appetizers on the mind, don’t forget these amazing cheddar bacon ranch pinwheels that are super fun to arrange like a tree.  They would taste great alongside this pull apart bread wreath!
