I’m so excited to share this Plated meal delivery review with you! For any of you that have been following along, you know that I love meal delivery services. I even did a post comparing 6 services, which has turned into I think 10-12 at this point, check out the comparison here if interested. Since becoming a mom a little over a year ago, these services have saved my life! They are seriously the best when I haven’t had a chance to grocery shop or plan meals for the week.
Among the many options for meal services, Plated is one of the very best! Unfortunately this meal delivery service has closed but I want to share the meal delivery services that are currently open and are so amazing!
I was a little late to the game trying Sun Basket, but they have easily become my favorite (I should have listened to friends who had tried it sooner!) If you want to read a review of the best healthy meal delivery service I wrote about them, click here.
I love Home Chef because there are so many meals to choose from along with a lot of delivery day options making it super flexible! I absolutely LOVE that besides the designated meal plans you can add additional meals (so if the plan is 3 meals for a family of 4, if that week you want 4 or 5 of the meals, you can add them on and not change your plan!) You can add on breakfast/fruit/smoothie/premium meals which is nice!

The reason I like Blue Apron is because you are able to choose between several meals and they give you the appropriate serving sizes!
Fresh n’ Lean offers already cooked healthy meals where all you need to do is heat the food up! I love that they offer breakfast/lunch/dinner and snacks and especially loved their Protein + plan, the meals really filled me up!
This is Martha Stewart’s meal delivery program. The food is good, very family friendly. I liked that some of the recipes are from Martha’s cookbooks with plenty of options!
This one is all organic (the other organic meal service I LOVE is Sun Basket, I’ve gotten so many comments about them and they’re allergy/diet friendly!) The meals also have minimal prep making it extremely easy on busy days!
If you’re interested in learning more about meal delivery services, I’ve put together a whole comparison here.

One thing I worry about with meal plans is all the packaging. Is one meal plan better about that than others? My sister got one that came in styrofoam coolers – very uncool.

Totally agree with you – the packaging is kind of frustrating. I’ve seen them change over the years and now a lot of the services offer recyclable packaging. I wrote a comparison of different companies (https://sweetphi.com/tried-6-home-meal-delivery-services-comparison/) and one of the companies sends this cool vessel/cooler thing that you send back, so zero packaging. My husband likes their packaging the best lol, but they are a little pricey.
