Introducing the New SweetPhi Website

Introducing the new SweetPhi website … and drops the mic!

That’s right, after months and months of planning, hours of behind the scenes work, research, and meetings and more meetings (we’re talking 6AM meetings here folks!) I am super excited to introduce you to the new SweetPhi website:

I was at a point where I had taken the website as far as I could by myself (crashing the entire site more times than I care to admit) and knew I couldn’t watch one more YouTube video trying to figure out how to fix something while actually messing things up: it was high time to seek out experts in the field of website design and development.

I found exactly what I was looking for in the incredibly talented folks at Envy Creative.

As if equipped with a magic wand, they took all my wishes for rebranding and a new website and made them come true!

Upon seeing the first branding and concept they drafted, I knew they just ‘got’ me:

(lol, I DO judge cities based on their cupcakes, and don’t you remember when green smoothies were ALL THE RAGE?)

I’m also convinced they’re witches because it’s like they went inside my mind and designed something that I could only have dreamed of!

So…the changes, the changes, I know you want to know about the changes and what’s different!

Well to start with, it looks a whole lot prettier, doesn’t it? It was getting a little crowded and they freed up unnecessary space and made it more concise to highlight the important things (like the pretty updates to the About page).

They increased functionality which makes for such a better user experience. The recipe index is easier to navigate and find what you are looking for, and included are popular categories.

It is mobile friendly so if you’re standing in your kitchen using the site for a recipe while cooking, it’s so much easier to work with – I tested the functionality out when making these cookies and am happy to report the cookies tasted 100% amazing…haha I kid, I’m happy to report that the mobile site works great when you’re on the go (like for example when you’re at the grocery store and need some inspiration.)

The new site has the ability to do cool long posts like this, and the standard recipe posts that you’re used to seeing.

There is now a whole page dedicated to my cookbook – I’ll be updating this with info – like where will be carrying it and if I’ll be doing signings and fun things like that.

There is still the page dedicated to Five Ingredient Fridays, now you can sign up for my enewsletter directly from that page (or at the bottom of posts!)

Of course there’s a fun little snapchat button – are we friends on snapchat (I’m username SweetPhi)? I was showing the guys how to use snapchat – see how much fun we could be having if we were friends on snapchat?!

One of the coolest features is the Reader Recreation submission form. You know how I love seeing your recreations, so now you can send them to me through the website!!

I know if anyone ever utters the words “website redesign” “branding” “web design” or anything in that direction to me, I’m going to have three very special words for them “HIRE ENVY CREATIVE” … it’s the best and only advice you’ll ever need when going through a project of this magnitude and I couldn’t be more grateful they were there guiding me along the process and building this incredible redesign every step of the way.
