My Favorite Qdoba Order, Birthday Thoughts, and a Giveaway!

Time flies at an astounding pace, I find myself looking at the calendar thinking March? Is it really March already? But the one thing that stays the same is my favorite Qdoba order!

A naked burrito bowl with 1/2 a spoon of brown rice, steak, a little bit of original queso, pico, a dollop of sour cream, cheese and guacamole. That right there is my favoritest ever Qdoba order.

In full disclosure, I usually steal some chips from my husband and dip them into the bowl so it’s like nachos. It’s a burrito bowl of deliciousness with tender, perfectly spiced steak which is complimented by the creamyness of the queso, sour cream and quacamole. And it should come as no surprise that I’m talking about how much I love Qdoba, considering I all but wrote a love letter when I spoke about their new Smothered Burritos. Any time Qdoba has a new menu item, I always sample it, and a little birdie told me that Qdoba is about to launch a Bacon Jalapeno Queso on March 10,  let me tell you, I can’t wait to try it! But today, today call me a little old fashioned if you will.

Call me a little old if you will…because that is exactly what I am. Or, a year older I should say. Today is my 30th birthday! Three decades old, boom! And while some people might have anxiety over turning older and especially at reaching a milestone birthday (like 30), I must say that I embrace it with excitement and anticipation of what’s to come. With each year that passes, I find myself feeling more like ‘me’, finding the things I truly love in life and letting go of all the things that I don’t. One thing that has brought me extreme happiness has been this blog and creativity it has allowed me to experience, express, and share with the world, as well as the wonderful community it has turned into. Thank you, amazing readers, who have made this all a reality. Who would have thought that when I started my blog (not even knowing what a blog even was) that it would turn into something that brings me such joy. I look forward to recipes I get to create. I look forward to sharing what’s happening in my life. I look forward to sharing what products I’m loving, what’s working or not working in the kitchen. I look forward to sharing how to make meal time just a tad bit easier. I look forward to working with amazing brands and companies. I look forward to the cookbook I’m creating, it is a project that I’m working on behind the scenes, a goal I’ve been working towards – it will be called Five Ingredient Fridays with Friends and Family. The theme of this 30th year of life is looking forward with excitement.

    I’ve only been a couple times but I have tried the quesadilla and vegetarian burritos and they were both really good. Would love to go back soon!

    God, I need this SO much as a starving college student! I love Qdoba and Chipotle for the fact that my gluten, dairy, and egg allergies can be easily catered to! Pus, I just really love Mexican.

    My concoction: Burrito bowl with brown rice, black beans, LOADS and HEAPS of fajita veggies, the medium salsa and mango salsa, and the non-optional guac. Guacamole is never optional in this stomach.

    I freakin’ love the Q! I live in a small college town and we have one in out downtown. My favorite thing to order is the Pulled Pork Burrito with brown rice, peppers/onions, lettuce, corn salsa, pico de gallo and cheese. My boys also love the food, they order the ground beef tacos on hard shells. We always split an order of chips and queso and always sit in the same seat in the restaurant.
