When I got approached by Lori from EatatBurp who is an awesome Milwaukee Foodie about the opportunity to get a bucket of fresh pitted and cleaned Door County Cherries from the Wisconsin Cherry Growers I of course said yes (all the hard cleaning work is done!!) The bucket you’re seeing in the picture had close to 30lbs of cherries in it! I froze three quarters (the top picture) and then used the remaining fresh for recipes and even borrowed a dehydrator from a coworker. I’m really excited to share all the recipes I’ve been making using this wonderful Wisconsin grown fruit. Stay tuned for recipes and definitely let me know any suggestions, I have a whole list started I’d love to add to.
