I accidentally added almond extract instead of vanilla extract to my coconut date energy bites, and they tasted like cake.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ben was helping me make them and wanted to roll them in sprinkles (I added some sesame seeds too) and THESE!! Omg they taste so good, like cake/cookie balls!!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Recipe:
▪️1/3 cup cashews
▪️10 medjool dates, pitted
▪️1/4 cup shredded coconut
▪️1 TBS coconut oil
▪️1 TBS water
▪️1 tsp vanilla extract
▪️1/4 tsp almond extract
▪️coconut flakes, sprinkles or sesame seeds for rolling
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
▪️pulsate cashews in a food processor for 10 seconds, then add remaining ingredients and process until a well blended mixture forms.
▪️scoop into balls and roll in desired toppings. Allow to come together in the refrigerator for an hr. Enjoy!
