Frequently Asked Questions
- Can I make this sausage tortellini soup ahead of time? Yes! This soup reheats beautifully. Store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. If the tortellini absorbs too much broth, just add a splash of broth when reheating.
- Can I freeze sausage tortellini tomato soup? You can, but for best texture, freeze the soup before adding the tortellini, then cook the tortellini fresh when reheating.
- What kind of tortellini works best? Cheese tortellini is classic and family-friendly, but spinach or meat-filled tortellini work well too. You could also use gnocchi in place of tortellini.
- Can I use mild sausage instead of hot? Absolutely. Mild Italian sausage makes this even more kid-friendly.
- Is this a good easy family dinner idea? Yes-this is one of those dependable, cozy dinners that works for busy nights, picky eaters, and hungry adults alike.
