Summer Pizza Party with DIGIORNO® Design A Pizza™ Kits

If you have been following this blog lately you’ll know how much I enjoy Pizza parties (see here, here and here.) But what happens when you don’t have days to prepare dough but still want pizza everyone will love?

Enter DIGIORNO® Design A Pizza™ Kits.

The pizza kits come with a cheese pizza and then individually wrapped toppings so everyone can create their own topping combination. There are three different Design a Pizza Kits: Peperoni and Sausage with Peppers and Onions, Spinach Tomato and Red Onion with Pepperoni, Chicken Green Peppers and Red Onion with Pepperoni. Let me back up a little and tell you how this all came about…after rushing (because that’s the speed I seem to operate at in the mornings) out the door, I was greeted by the most gorgeous summer weather, and by remembering that we (my husband and I) were going over to my in-law’s house for dinner with his family… and I had told everyone I would bring dinner for the gathering…oops!

Since I knew I had a super busy day (when is it not?) and would have no time to prep or cook ahead, I knew I wanted something oven ready that everyone would enjoy, so I decided we were going to have a last minute pizza party!

With the pizza party idea in my head, I headed to Walmart pick up everything I needed and came across these new DIGIORNO® Design A Pizza™ Kits!

Besides the DIGIORNO® Design A Pizza™ Kits , I came across delicious looking DIGIORNO® RISING CRUST® Pizza, and pizzeria! from DIGIORNO®!

Bingo! This definitely looked like something everyone would enjoy, and enjoy is what we did #SummerGoodies!

First everyone got to make their pizza’s, it was great to see what toppings and combinations everyone used. There was surprisingly only one pizza that was split down the middle with different toppings, everyone else created uniform pizza’s. The DIGIORNO® Design A Pizza™ Kits come with so many wonderful topping options!

Here are some tips for a having a last minute summertime pizza party that everyone is sure to enjoy:

• Plan on 1 pizza for every 2 adults (that way if there are couples each couple can design their own pizza)
• Preheat your oven ahead of time so that as soon as pizzas are ready they can begin baking
• Set all ingredients in bowls and label the ingredients (we did this by simply cutting out the names from the box and taping it to the sides of the bowl)
• Open a window to allow air flow (it can get hot in the kitchen when baking, plus, the house will smell like yummy pizza and it will feel super summery)
