This Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce will change the way you eat ice cream!! I was looking for a quick and easy recipe for an ice cream topping and coming up short, all the recipes took hours and hours, so when I combined different recipes to make the final product I was super satisfied by the results…get ready to never want to buy store bought chocolate syrup again!

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 6 oz Bittersweet unsweetened chocolate chopped
- 2 Tbs unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a small sauce pan bring cream, corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa powder, salt and half of the chocolate to a slow boil (you down't want it to be bubbly and overflow). Reduce heat and cook for a few minutes stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in the remaining ingredients and stir until it is all combined and smooth. Let cool for 10 minutes before using (it gets thicker as it cools). Store in a jar or airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 weeks (if it lasts that long!). To reheat, microwave for 10-20 seconds.
If that didn’t make your mouth water, try seeing it in action on some vanilla ice cream…holy goodness!
