It’s been a minute since I shared some of my faves and life lately, but I’m committed to bringing them back! I hope you enjoy them because I always have fun writing them. If there is ever anything you’re wondering, just send me a message and I’ll make sure to include it in one of my ‘Faves and Life Lately‘ posts.
Well, the biggest news as of late is that I’m pregnant with Twins! Wowza! I have absolutely loved being a Mom to Ben, so adding two more to the mix is going to be an amazing adventure.
I’m so incredibly honored to have been named one of Working Mother’s Top 2019 working mom bloggers (SweetPhi is #18 on the list). As most of you know, I work very full time during the day and then I run my blog as a business. It can be a lot of work, but I love what I do all around! Being a mom is of utmost importance, so to be recognized for being a working-mom-blogger, it just truly means a ton to me!
After a lot of hard work, I am thrilled to announce that I will be launching another cookbook; a Baby Food Maker Cookbook. I make a lot of my own food for Ben and have tested out many recipes and baby food makers along the way. This cookbook will give you more than 125 recipes and will launch in April! You can pre-order yours here.
I’m all about feeling a little better during this crazy pregnancy! Carrying twins is NO JOKE! Even with this crazy schedule of mine – full time job, full time blog, full time toddler Mom, wife, etc. – I am trying to focus on a few key self-care items.
When I take a few minutes to relax, I absolutely love this Boscia luminizing black charcoal mask. It’s fun to do – ok, mostly to peel off – and leaves your skin feeling great.
And if I’m feeling very luxurious, I give myself time to take a bath. I use this yummy smelling bubble bath from World Market and try to forget the stress of the day! And don’t forget to light your favorite candle to help make it even better. I love candles, but right now, I’m using anything with lavender because it’s supposed to help with restfulness and sleep.
I commute almost 45 minutes each way to work. Yes, it’s long, but it gives me some great time to relax before I get into the office and unwind on the way home. I help make time fly by listening to audiobooks and podcasts. Right now, I am loving the Audible Romance Package! It’s a super inexpensive way to have access to unlimited romance books!
If you don’t know yet, I have a YouTube channel! It’s super exciting and week by week, I am slowly adding more content. Subscribe and keep an eye on it for some great new videos coming your way!
We love a good documentary in our house, but even better than that is this hilarious parody show called Documentary Now! You can watch for yourself on Netflix and prepare yourself for a night full of laughter. It’s a great stress reliever after a long day at work.
I could talk on this topic for a long time, obviously, but lately, I’ve been loving meal deliveries. With work, the blog and this pregnancy, I am relying on help wherever I can get it.
In last weeks newsletter (speaking of which – are you signed up? I run monthly giveaways and send a once a week newsletter – sign up here) I mentioned Fresh n’ Lean – they offer already prepared healthy meal delivery, my review is on the blog! Having meals already cooked when they show up at my door is such a nice treat when I’m exhausted at the end of a long day. I have a special Fresh n’ Lean discount code for you to use, enter code PHI10 and receive an additional 10% off your order (on top of any promotions they’re running – currently they’re running a 10% off offer!!)
Now, if you’re looking for a meal delivery service where you cook, Home Chef is one I always like to recommend. Their food is delicious and very family friendly (meaning the whole family really enjoys these meals)
What are a few of your favorite things? I’d love to hear – just leave a comment below!
