HELLO! I just wanted to pop in quickly and share this faves and life lately post. This week has been pure insanity. I have 292 unread emails that are not junk that I need to respond to. AAAHHH!
So, in case you’re wondering why I haven’t posted this week: I am cooking for 40 people (breakfast/lunch/dinner) for a work conference. As I mentioned in this 5 ingredient rigatoni post, I have a full time job outside of this blog – I spend my days helping run a small natural products company called True Botanica. I know I keep promising a post on what I do, and I really need to get to that, it’s on my list, promise (it’s an ever growing list!) I work full time, I have a baby I LOVE, and I have this blog which truly brings me joy (but it’s also a lot of work). It’s all just a lot sometimes. Such is life, right? I feel like this picture of Ben just sums up my week lol:We went to an apple orchard last weekend, it was so much fun! I’ve never been to a pick-your-own apple orchard, but I feel like I have to make it a yearly tradition because it was fantastic. I made this crazy good apple butter that I’ll be sharing the recipe for soon!
Ok, so I keep this notebook from Target with me (I’m still a pen and paper gal) and when I really am loving something, I jot it down and keep a list of my faves (click here to see the past faves & life lately posts).
Books/Entertainment
I listen to books on audible on my commute to/from work. Here are three that I have absolutely loved:
Food
My post on when I did a review/comparison of 6 meal delivery services is super popular right now, I’ve actually been using Sun Basket and Home Chef lately – it’s nice to have the ingredients for dinner and not have to worry about thinking up what to make!
This slow cooker chili is on repeat, it’s a great meal to make a big batch of and then have for the week.
I’ve been eating these 5 ingredient healthy breakfast bowls all the time – love them!
These pumpkin spice latte chocolate chip cookies are like my FAVE right now. I have to be careful when I make them, or I could find myself eating like a dozen lol.
The first time I kombucha I’m pretty sure I spit it out, it was so gross. Someone told me to try Health Ade Ginger Lemon, and I do have to say I love it. It’s delicious, and I do feel so good after drinking it. I usually only have 1/2 a bottle at a time (you can find it at some health food stores or on Amazon!!)
Personal care/life
I really don’t have time to go to the store for clothes at the moment, nor do I particularly like shopping…enter Trunk Club! It’s a Nordstrom based service where you get a stylist who makes a box (trunk) of clothes for you and sends it to you – you keep/buy what you want and return the rest. It’s SO easy and I have some of my favorite pieces of clothing from it. I highly recommend it (I tried a few other mail/stylist clothes programs and always found the clothes cheap and not my style, Trunk Club is different, since the clothes are from Nordstroms, they’re awesome brands I would buy anyway, it just saves me the trip lol. And my stylist (Abby) really listens and always sends me stuff I actually like! I discovered my favorite shirt/sweater brand Caslon through Trunk club (<affiliate link).

Awww, thank you so much for your sweet comment. The apple orchard was so cool, I had never done that before, but am definitely going to start doing that as a tradition!
