Love List-52; thank you notes and summer drinks

In this week’s Love List, the team is sharing two great articles; one with money-saving tips and another about gratitude.  Plus, we each let you know what our favorite summer beverage is.

3. I might be in the minority here, but I really don’t like Home Goods. It’s waaaay too crowded and I can never find anything I like. What was I looking for? Elusive THROW PILLOWS! I’ve been wanting some nice throw pillows for years, and haven’t put in the time to find them. After some research:
   • I found and love these earth-tone throw pillows 
   • Along with these cotton canvas covers in Iron and Copper Rust, because they’re just covers.  I’ll need to buy the pillows themselves (easy from Amazon with these).

Bridget’s Picks

1. This is one of my favorite sites for art and decor.  I am always finding a million things I want to hang in my house!
2. I don’t often sit down and watch movies because I always get too antsy and have approximately one million other things to do.  Buuuuut, my husband and I had a little stay-in date night and watched Hillbilly Elegy.  I wasn’t quite sure about it to start, but it was actually SO GOOD that I ended up staying up waaaay to late watching it.  10/10 definitely recommend.
3. I have been obsessing over Marimekko lately; specifically the bedding.  I love the bright colors and generally happy designs like this and this.  Oh and they’ve done a collaboration with Adidas which I think is just so fantastic!

Alyssa’s Picks

1. I personally love toasting marshmallows over a fire but I saw this and thought it was kind of clever if you aren’t making s’mores over a campfire but in an oven or on the grill!
2. I’m all about hacks that save you money and this list will save you the next time you go to Starbucks! I’ve done a few of these tips before and they are true!
3. This video popped up on my Instagram and thought it was such a clever and cute gender reveal ideal! I’ve never seen this way of doing it.
4. I just placed a Nespresso order and always order a few of these! I love it iced with almond milk or I will foam the milk for a homemade latte.

Item we all love – Summer Drink

• Normally, my favorite summer drink is a summer sangria or a sweet cream iced coffee but this year, it’s a melon spritzer, cannot get enough of the freshness and melon, but add extra ice for me please 😉

Bridget

• I’m odd in that I still love my piping hot black coffee even in the summer months (this is my fave coffee).  The only real preference that changes is that I find myself drinking more white wine instead of my typical red wine choices.  I love a yummy sauvignon blanc on hot summer days.

Alyssa

• My favorite summer drink is having this water with slices of lemon or lime! Sometimes I’ll add in other fruit like raspberries or strawberries. Another fun one is this prickly pear hard seltzer!
