Have you heard the phrase mealtime fatigue? It’s something that my friends and I have been talking about as we pass the one year mark of the pandemic being declared. Mealtime fatigue is just when you are so exhausted with trying to figure out what to cook/make for any given meal. Well, I have just the thing for mealtime fatigue and what can help.
If you’ve been around the SweetPhi community for awhile, you know that I love meal delivery. I wrote about some of my favorite services and compared their benefits(here) have compared healthy meal delivery services, and think meal delivery kit services make an excellent gift for new moms!
Home Chef has been, and remains to be, one of my top choices for meal delivery services. You can switch up what you eat every week and use their ‘customize it’ tool to swap out things you don’t like (you can change the proteins), upgrade your dish or make other changes to your meal!
If you’re anything like me, you always have big plans and good intentions of using every bit of produce in your refrigerator, but you’re still throwing away that spinach at the end of the week that you didn’t quite get around to using. With Home Chef, you end up wasting less ingredients because they ship you convenient packages of only the exact ingredients you need. And their meat comes packaged separately, which is important to me (because no joke, other services put the meat with other ingredients, and then meat juices leak!)
You can use code 40SweetPhi for $40 off your first two orders, ($30 off the first and $10 off the second) if you’d like to give Home Chef a try.
If you’re looking for a different meal delivery service, I would also highly recommend Sun Basket. I’ve always liked their food, but still gravitated toward Home Chef because it was more conducive to my lifestyle. Well, I’m happy to report that Sun Basket now has oven-ready meals. The call them their fresh and ready heat and eat meals. Now, I like the sound of that!
Whichever meal delivery service you choose, you won’t regret it. Even if you just mix in a few select meals each month from meal delivery, it will give your brain a break and hopefully help with mealtime fatigue.
