You know those times when you just feel that Fall is in the air? Well, this recipe is perfect for days like that. It makes your house smell amazing, and it is absolutely delicious! I have to confess, it was actually my fiance who was the one who wanted to make this yesterday! So we got out all the ingredients and made it together.
Apple Crumble Recipe Ingredients:
4 Cups Sliced apples (I used about 8 small apples and they were made up of 3 different types of apples)
1 Tsp Cinnamon
1/2 Cup water
3/4 Cup White Sugar
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Butter (1 stick)
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
3/4 Cup Flour
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350, grease a pan (I used a standard brownie size pan). Cut the apples into quarters, cut the middle with the seeds out, and then slice each quarter into about 4 slices and put directly into the pan. Sprinkle cinnamon on top of the apples, and then pour water all over. Cream together the butter and the white and brown sugars. Add the vanilla extract and then blend in the flour. Next sprinkle all over the apples (the mixture will/should be crumbly). Bake for 30-40 min (mine was done directly at 30 min. Add a dash of cool whip, ice cream, or whip cream and serve!
