The combination of Apples and Peanut butter happens often, one cuts up an apple and dips it in a little peanut butter, right? So why in the world haven’t I thought to make apple crumble with peanut butter before? The flavor combination is extraordinary, and with only 5 ingredients, it is super easy to make, and is Gluten Free!
Another cool thing about this dish is that one of Nicks Uncles has apples trees in his yard, and he graciously let me pick apples (see pics below of his trees) so the apples I used in this were straight from the tree!! There were two kinds of apples: Red Delicious and Honey Crisp. For this crumble I used the honey crisp.

Ingredients
- 1. 6 Gala Apples peeled and cut
- 2. 3/4 Cup creamy peanut butter reduced fat
- 3. 1 Cup Oats
- 4. 1 Cup Sugar
- 5. 2 Tbs Apple Pie Spice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400. Peel and cut the apples into little chunks/pieces. Put the apple slices in a bowl and combine with 1/2 cup sugar and 1 Tbs of the Apple Pie Spice. In a separate bowl combine the Oats, Peanut Butter, and remaining Sugar and Apple Pie Spice (you will need to use some muscle to incorporate all the ingredients and get them to mix together because the peanut butter is not the easiest to stir by hand). Spoon apples into a square baking dish (I used an oval one that was about 9 inches long) and then with your hands put the peanut butter crumble on top of the apples trying to cover all the apples. Bake for 50 minutes, or until the apples are tender when poked with a fork. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
