In this week’s Love List, the SweetPhi Team is sharing a pro-tip to get your kids to wash their hands extra throughout the day, plus an activity to take your family to THIS MONTH if you are local and some great home decor items to shop.
- I’ve started my Christmas shopping early this year. I’m getting a bunch of these AMAZING smelling candles and these matches (how fun!)
- Not as strong and cloyingly sweet as a Pumpkin Spice…Mrs. Meyer’s has nailed it with this new fall scent of Acorn Spice!!
- YES to every single one of these – 17 easy habits that will change your life.
Bridget’s Picks

- My kids are mostly great at washing their hands, but occasionally my oldest likes to skip the soap when he’s in a hurry to get back to playing. We recently bought some soaps similar to these, with a toy in the center. He is so excited to use the soap up quickly to see what toy is in the center that he is washing his hands extra. I’ll call that a win.
- We went to this really great, family-friendly event that is perfect for the month of October – check it out while you can! It often sells out and is incredibly popular, but 10/10 recommend. It was great! I just heard there is something similar in Lake Zurich, IL if that is closer to your home too!
- My sister recently told me about this book that I can’t wait to dive into – read all about it here. Often Mom’s end up taking the bulk of the home responsibilities (groceries, packing lunches, dishes etc.) and this book dives into ways to even it out a bit more at the household, in a fun, light-hearted way. There is also a card game to correlate with it and I am so so excited about it!
Alyssa’s Picks

- I just got a macrame wall hanging but I love everything in this Etsy shop! I love the different shapes and colors like this one.
- I have been obsessed with pampas grass for fall decor this year and I came across this beautiful company! I absolutely love this one and this one!
- I saw this cute shop on Instagram and they have so many options to create custom prints. You can also create wood framed pieces with text or photos which I love!
The Team’s Favorite – Apple Item

Phi
- I love a not too sweet apple cake, aka German apple cake so good and reminds me of fall and home.
Bridget
- To be honest, I don’t totally love baked apples, but I do love apples and caramel! So, a classic caramel dipped apple is a favorite thing of mine during the fall. I love it and the kids do too. There is a place just North of Milwaukee called Amy’s Gourmet Apples that makes some gourmet options that are so delicious.
Alyssa
- My all time favorite fall treat is a caramel apple pie baked in a paper bag from the Elegant Farmer! We have to go every year to get one.
