This 5 ingredient parmesan crusted pork chops recipe is a super easy meal to make that the whole family will love. Serve these pork chops alongside some greens and you have a great, wholesome meal.
If you’ve been reading this site for a while, you’ll know I love 5 ingredient recipes, I have a series called Five-Ingredient Fridays where (you guessed it) every Friday I share a 5-ingredient recipe! I even have a cookbook about the topic, like I said, I love 5-ingredient recipes!
So when I received a copy of the cookbook called Best of Bridge 5 Ingredient Cooking I was so excited to dive in. I’ve made several recipes from the book (chicken skewers, jalapeno poppers, several desserts and these pork chops in case you have that book, the recipe is called Nicolas’s Italian-style pork chops) and they’re all SO GOOD!! The book is spiral bound and an all around well-made cookbook that would be a great addition to your collection.
Previously, on the blog, I made a 5 ingredient oven-baked pork chop with a mozzarella topping that was delicious, but I’m always looking for easy pork chop recipes (my kids love pork chops!!) You could call these pork chops Italian style pork chops or parmesan crusted pork chops. Whatever you call them, they have become my go-to way of cooking pork chops for an easy weeknight dinner!
What 5 ingredients do I need for this recipe?
- Boneless pork loin chops – this is a great, inexpensive meal option that’s also a healthy choice. If you don’t have pork chops, this recipe is also good made with chicken breasts or tilapia!
- Egg – the egg is used as a wash on the pork, to ensure the crust will stick.
- Bread Crumbs – this is the base of the crust for the pork chop
- Parmesan Cheese – where all of the flavor comes from! The cheese will crisp up nicely for a great little layer of crunch.
- Lemon wedges – this is actually completely optional, but used to squeeze over the pork before you dig in!
*you will also need salt, pepper and canola oil, but it is assumed that people have these as regular pantry ingredients
