It’s easy to share all of the best SweetPhi cookie recipes, but we wanted to share a few others from around the web as well. This Christmas Cookie Roundup features some SweetPhi favorites and some from other great food bloggers and friends around the web.
We consulted a few of our friends and asked them what cookies were “must haves” during the Christmas season and here is what we came up with!
- This is a year after year classic in most-everyone’s house and helps solve the age-old problem of cookie spread. If you follow this recipe, we can promise your cookies will hold their shape and come out of the oven looking great!
- You could also get creative with your sugar cookie baking and try this chocolate sugar cookie recipe that is gluten free – a great one from Ambitious Kitchen.

- Joy the Baker makes this shortbread look super festive, which is always an added touch of fun. She has tons of great cookies recipes and this is one perfect for your cookie platter.

Toasted pecan snowball cookies
- Someone told me that they call these cookies Russian tea cakes and no matter what you call them, they are delicious and great for the winter season.
- We love this recipe from Skinnytaste. Not only are these cookies beautiful to look at but they taste great too. A great, light cookie option for your holiday season.
Peanut butter chocolate kiss cookies
- A classic recipe from New York Times can be made more festive by coloring the dough – if you want to get crazy!
- This recipe from Easy Weeknight Recipes is super fun to make with the kids and end up looking festive and fun. But, if you don’t want to take the time to shape cookies into candy canes, try these candy cane crinkle cookies from Lauren’s Latest instead.
- Who doesn’t love these little morsels of fun!? You can get as creative as you want with the fun shapes and various sprinkles and toppings. This recipe from Cookies & Cups shows you how to die the dough or stick with a classic look.
- These raspberry filled vanilla cookies are a Serbian recipe meaning ‘little vanilla’ and the best part is that they actually taste better if they are made a few days ahead of time. Winning!
- We just love the look of these cookies, whether you stuff them with a rolo or make them with Coca-Cola (yes, you read that right), both options are delicious and beautiful to look at.
- The Salty Marshmallow hit the festive nail on the head with red and green pinwheels. And, of course, add sprinkles on the edge for more texture and flavor.
