The holidays are here (ok, well here in a few short weeks) and I’m so excited to do some baking this year! With kids, the holidays are magical. My 2 year old son, Ben, loves to “help” in the kitchen so we’re going to see how many recipes we can check off of this holiday desserts and Christmas cookies roundup. Wish us luck!
Cranberry bliss cookies – I always love to use cranberries, which grow so abundantly in my home state of Wisconsin. If you’re interested, you can read more about Wisconsin’s cranberries here.
Chocolate turtle chex mix – this recipe is one of a few on this list that I always use when I’m making food gifts for teachers, family or friends. It’s such a treat and the recipe makes a ton!
Chocolate Rolo stuffed crinkle cookies – I love a little surprise in the center of my cookies and a Rolo is the best kind of surprise.
Caramel chocolate thumbprint cookies – the nuts on the exterior of this cookie give it a nice little crunch and an extra fabulous flavor.
Sea salt turtle cups – Sea salt, chocolate and caramel; need I say more?! This is another recipe that I love packaging up and giving as a gift.
Vanilla bean chocolate chunk cookies – this will quickly become your go-to classic chocolate chip cookie recipe. I promise, it won’t disappoint.
Eggnog cookies – A staple for the holiday season. Basically a glass of egg nog on a platter, instead of in a glass!
S’mores cookie cups – Ooey, gooey and marshmallowy, these will be a favorite of your kids.
Sugar cut-out cookies that actually hold their shape – aren’t we all on the hunt for the perfect sugar cookie recipe? Well this is it! Not only do they taste great, but when you cut them into festive shapes, they actually stay looking like that.
5 ingredient tuxedo chip cake mix cookies – oh my gosh, these cookies were so fun to make! I used a boxed cake mix and they turned out so yummy! A must-try recipe!
Salted caramel chocolate chip cookies – a classic cookie that will become a favorite of any one you bake them for.
Bananas Foster party chex mix – You guessed it, another food gift! This one mixes up some of the typical flavors of the season and brings in some flair with banana.
Vanilice raspberry filled vanilla cookies – these traditional Serbian cookies are the best because they can be made days ahead and are actually better when you do that!
Red wine brownies – Um, seriously, these are the best brownies you’ll ever have. So delectable and such a treat. Plus, you get to enjoy them with a glass of red wine!
Peppermint fudge – With all of the baking at the holidays, it’s nice to have a few recipes that come together quickly. And, yup, you can also wrap it up and gift this to your neighbors. I love to tie the bow with a candy cane!
Chocolate dipped hazelnut sandwich cookie – hazelnuts, chestnuts, whatever kind of nuts you like to sing about, you’ll be singing about these sandwich cookies once you’ve tried them.
Coca Cola brownie crinkle cookies – I love the way crinkle cookies look on the outside and they are even better when they taste like a gooey brownie in the center. Just like these cookies do!
Caramel marshmallow tuxedo chip blondie – perfect to pack up and bring to a party, these blondies are a great addition to any cookie platter.
5 ingredient toasted pecan snowball cookies – these cookies remind me of my Grandma because she would always make them at Christmastime. I love a recipe that evokes memories like that!
Salted cashew tuxedo turtles – One more great food gift to add to the list!
I hope you get to enjoy some baking time this holiday season and don’t forget to tag me in any photos where you use a SweetPhi recipe!
